On the 6th of February 2023 the first coordination and management meeting (TPM 1) took place at Helige-drievuldigheidscollege (HDC), Oude Markt, 28- Leuven. The participants were Martina Giuliano and Angie Vandenhouten (Belgian coordinators) Berenice Carbone and Lydia Sozzi (Italian partners) Panagiotis Leventis (Greek partner).
The coordinators met to:
- get to know each other (exchange of opinions about sustainability, of ideas about possible activities and of expectations from the project)
- create a project schedule (activities in the classroom and outside the classroom, online activities with the three schools, the exchange weeks) - plan and schedule meetings (1 meeting per month online and using Teams)
- create a detailed project budget
- decide how to document project information (website, blog, info events)
The Italian and Greek partners presented their schools to the students of HDC. The students of HDC presented themselves to the school partners.
In the afternoon all the members went on a city tour with focus on ecological aspects of the city, guided by Sander Vandepoel of Leuven 2030.
Leuven 2030 is a non-profit organisation consisting of inhabitants, companies, civil society organisations, knowledge institutions and public authorities and strives for a climate-neutral future. It followed a Brainstorm with Ellen Vandenbroucke to get inspired to empower our schools in the field of sustainability and to lower our ecological footprint. This meeting helped us to initiate the project. Project coordinators had a good understanding of the time needed for planning each stage of the project from start to finish.
